BUT, then looked at just the index [don't have the book] for the 1881 History of Lucas Co., IA. On page 515 there is an entry for " A. S. Glenn ". Might this be mention of your Amos Sparks Glenn? Perhaps someone else out there has that book, OR, contact the Lucas Co. Genealogical Society to copy that page for you.
