The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, June 28, 1906 'COUNTY NORMAL' - - - - - - - The Lucas County Normal is in session this week and it is proving to be of more than ordinary interest as the old methods are largely departed from. The attendance is good and County Superintendent Fitch presides over the sessions in her accustomed business like manner. The instructors are: Grammar, Miss Kelso; Geography, Mr. Clifford; Arithmetic, Miss Kelso; Didactics, Mr. Clifford; Reading, Miss Rozelle; Music, Miss Courtleyou; Agriculture, Mr. Cameron; History, Mr. English; Nature Study, Mr. Cameron; Primary Methods, Miss Rozelle. Mr. Clifford has given two lectures, one each on cotton and silk, both being very instructive. Mr. Cameron has lectured twice on trees and forests. On Friday evening he will deliver another on birds.
