The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, July 5, 1906 A home wedding beautiful in its simplicity and impressiveness was that of MISS PEARL WALLACE, of Norwood, and EARL SANDERS, of Carlisle, which was solemnized yesterday at high noon at the home of the bride's parents, G.N. WALLACE and wife, REV. W.F. WALLACE officiating. The parlor was made attractive florally by using quantities of ferns and white carnations. MISS MARIAN BELL, of Lucas, played the wedding march as the bride and groom entered, attended by MISS EFFIE WALLACE, sister of the bride and JOSEPH UPPERSON. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white silk and carried a large bouquet of white carnations. Following the congratulations the guests entered the dining room, which was beautifully decorated with smilax and white carnations, where a four course dinner was served. The bride is one of the successful school teachers of Norwood and will no doubt make a useful helpmate. The groom is the leading carpenter of Carlisle and is well liked by all who have met him. MR. and MRS. SANDERS left in the evening for Carlisle where he had a home fitted up to begin housekeeping. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert October 23, 2004 [email protected]
