The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, March 8, 1906 On Sunday evening, March 4, 1906, at 6:30 o'clock, at the Presbyterian manse, occurred the marriage of MR. OTIS BROWN and MISS MABLE LINSTROM. Rev. W.S. McCullagh performed the ceremony in the presence of only a few witnesses. The bride was attired in a brown silk shirt waist suit and the groom wore the customary black. At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride's brother, S.H. LINSTROM, of Lincoln township, where an elegant wedding supper was served and to which all did ample justice. The bride is a daughter of MR. and MRS. C.O. LINSTROM of Lincoln Township and is well known in this community where she was born and raised. She has always been a quiet home girl, unassuming, yet loved and respected by all of her acquaintances. She is in every way fitted to preside over a happy home. The groom is a son of MR. and MRS. THOS. BROWN of English Township and is an industrious, energetic young man of excellent character, and enjoys the confidence of all who know him. MR. and MRS. BROWN departed Monday morning on No. 3 for Henderson, Iowa, where the groom has a home already prepared for the reception of his bride and where they will take up their residence. The Leader joins their many friends in extending congratulations and trusts that their wedded life will be long, happy and prosperous. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert October 1, 2004 [email protected]
