The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, February 25, 1909 ELMER MUNSON, the little six-year-old son of AUGUST MUNSON and wife, residing in the southwest part of the city, met with a sad accident, Friday evening. While attempting to climb on a coal wagon he fell to the ground, the wagon passing over his left leg and crushing the bones between the ankle and knee. He is in a serious condition but it is thought he will survive the shock, but it will be some time before he is able to be out.
