The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, July 5, 1906 JOHN CARTER, who has been a street car conductor in Des Moines for several years, died in that city Saturday night, and his remains were brought to Chariton Monday noon, and the interment was made in the family lot in the Chariton Cemetery.
