    3. The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, September 28, 1905 S.P. WIGREN, who resided here for many years, passed away at Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Monday, September 25, 1905, after an extended illness. The remains were interred in the family vault at Burlington yesterday. MR. WIGREN was born in Sweden and came to America when quite young. At the time of the Civil War he enlisted in the Union Army and fought in many of the prominent battles of the war, being wounded at Shiloh. At the lcose of the war he went to Burlington where he resided for some time and then came to Chariton. For several years he was interested in a stock farm east of this city. He was one of our most progressive citizens, highly esteemed by all who knew him and his unnumerable friends here will learn of his death with sorrow. He is survived by his wife who was formerly MISS CHRISTINE JOHNSON of Burlington.
