Lucas County Cemteries, p. 38: George Griffiths, Sr., b. Dec. 29, 1890, d. Aug 16, 1965, is buried at Frye Hill Cemetery, Jackson Twp., Lucas Co., Iowa in Section 5, East Half, #22 with his wife, Arvina Griffiths, b. April 27, 1894, d. May 22, 1974. There are other Griffiths on p. 31 & 35 but did figure out the relationship to the below head of family, Thomas & Harriet. B. Lucas Co. Marriages 1849-1918 p. 43 Thomas R. Griffiths, 21, m. Harriet Whitehouse, 18, on 3 Jan 1885. p. 99 George Griffiths, 23, m. Avrina Pasco, 19, on 11 Feb. 1914. [Just prior to birth of your George, abt Nov. 28, 1916.] C. History of Lucas Co., Iowa, p 1978 edition. [LCGS], p 654 John Griffiths Family: History of Lucas Co., Iowa, 1978 edition [LCGS] p. 654 In an article about George's brother, John R. Griffiths is found some basic family information: "...Thomas and Harriet [Whitehouse] Griffiths. ...nine children ....were, [John], Bertha [Mrs. Floyd Bell], George, William, Thomas, Benjamin, Isaac, Ella [Mrs. Ward Phillips], and Albert." [John & wf Blodwen Thomas Griffiths are buried at Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines, Iowa].
