The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, May 27, 1909 A very pretty wedding occurred on Sunday afternoon at the home of the bride s parents, MR. and MRS. GRANT WILLIBY, northwest Chariton, the contracting parties being FRED ROSCOE SHELTON and JESSIE MAE WILLIBY. The ceremony was performed at 5 o'clock, by Rev. C.E. Wells, Pastor of the Christian church, in the presence of about forty invited guests. After congratulations were extended, a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. The bride was becomingly gowned in white silk and was unattended. She is a modest and refined young lady, possessed of many lovable traits of character She had been for some time employed in the Arcade Cafe. The groom is a son of MR. and MRS. PHILIP SHELTON and is a young man of industrious and moral habits and is worthy his chosen bride.
