The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, June 3, 1909 Word comes from Belinda that J.C. FARLEY committed suicide there, last Friday morning, by hanging himself in the barn. This occurred not far from 7:00 o'clock in the morning. The cause or causes which led up to this tragedy are mere matters of conjecture but it is probably that they were the result of a diseased imagination as his mind had been affected at times for years. He had a wife and a grown up family of children, all being married save one.
