Thursday, June 29, 1967, at Kennedy nursing home in Mt. Pleasant. Death terminated a long illness. Mrs. Abbott was the daughter of William and Mary Chapman and was born in Muscatine County on February 28, 1884. On Christmas Day 1902 she married Arthur Abbott. Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Methodist church and of the RNA. Surviving: The husband; son, Gaylord Abbott, Fairfield; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Services: Barton-McKasson Funeral Home Saturday at two o'clock, the Rev. Harold Hurt officiated. Burial at Winfield Scott township cemetery.
