Schafer Paullins.I believe that this appeared in the Columbus Gazette, but the clipping was handed down to me with no identifying information. Submitted by Michele Kemp Shockley. Mrs. Orpha G Paullins LETTS - Mrs. Orpha Gladys Paullins, 78, Letts Rt. 1, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday, Jan 28, at Mercy hospital, Iowa City. She was born Sept. 23, 1895, in Grandview, the daughter of John R. and Vada Collins Schafer. She married George M. Paullins in Wapello June 30, 1915: he preceded her in death. She was a member of Kenwood United Methodist Church. Surviving: Two sons, J. Robert; Ellenton, Fla., and Lonnie, Marion; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Marian) Lee, Letts, Mrs. Orville (Wanda) Eckberg, San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Willard (Nina Mae) Bennett, Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. G.K. Buster, Wapello, Mrs. Everett Rexroth, Davenport, and Mrs. Anthony Weyer, Burlington. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Letts United Methodist church, Rev. Gordon Elrick; Letts cemetery.  Stacy-Lewis funeral home of Columbus Junction is in charge of arrangements.
