Would have appeared in the local paper June 1963. The clipping was handed down to me from elderly relatives. Submitted by Michele Kemp Shockley. Rex Edward Kemp Rex E. Kemp, a former steward of the Muscatine county home, died Sunday at his home at Fort Worth, Texas. He was a district manager at Fort Worth for the Alemite Company. Mr. Kemp was born Mar. 3, 1906 at Columbus Junction, the son of Edwin O. and Eldora Reed Kemp. He was married June 4, 1924 at Grandview to Helen Schafer. He was married in July, 1946 to Audry Royce. Mr. Kemp is survived by his wife; two sons, and Arnold Kemp of Memphis, Tenn. and Keith Kemp of Waukee, Iowa ; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Stange, of Muscatine; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Verdow and Mrs. J. L. Paullins, both of Burlington, his mother, Mrs. Eldora Gray, of Burlington; and six grandchildren. The body is now at the Giles funeral home at Burlington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grandview Community church. Interment will be in the Grandview cemetery.
