Sheagren Funeral Home Mr. Jesse L. (Polly) Paullins: Services for Mr. Jesse L. (Polly) Paullins of 1605 Division St., who passed away September 10, 1979, will be held at the Sheagren Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Ernest Ellmers officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery at Grandview, Iowa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between 7:00 and 8:30 o’clock Wednesday evening. A memorial had been established at the funeral home. The Handy Corner Confectionery, founded by Mr. Paullins, will be closed in respect to him Thursday. Jessie L. (Polly) Paullins Jesse L. (Polly) Paullins, 75-year-old founder of Handy Corner Confectionery at Division and Leebrick, died Monday, Sept. 10, at Burlington Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1904, at Letts, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Jesse T. Paullins. He married Edna Kemp May 30, 1924, at Muscatine. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and the Masonic lodge. Surviving: The wife; daughter, Avon Paullins, Burlington; and sister Ivy Houtz, Waterloo. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sheagren funeral home, Rev. Ernest Ellmers; Grandview cemetery at Grandview. A memorial has been established at the funeral home.
