The daughter of William and Elizabeth Rice, she was born in Monmouth, Illinois, December 29, 1857, and was married to the late Clark Cocklin on January 31, 1877. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Snyder, and a grandson Merele Krahl, of Grandview. Also surviving are two great grandsons and a step granddaughter; a half-sister, Mrs. Nadine Olin, Muscatine, and a half-brother, Lemuel Massey of Minneapolis. The body is at the Dudgeon funeral home in Wapello, where funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. A second service will be held in the Grandview Community Church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery
