Hill was born in Ohio, May 15, 1835, died April 17, 1903, aged 67 years, 11 months and 4 days; came with his parents to Iowa in 1852, lived in Iowa ever since except a short time in Kansas; was married to Elizabeth Bradley in 1865; was eighth in a family of ten children. He leaves a wife, five sons and three daughters, two brothers and one sister. In his death the family loses a loving husband and kind father and the community an honest, upright citizen. Funeral at the house Sunday at 2 o'clock p. m. conducted by Rev. Baumgartle. Interment in the Conesville cemetery. The pallbearers were Hiram Garrard, G. W. McKee, David McCullough, Nils Longquist, J. C. Wolford, and Henry Chriss. The sympathy of the community is extended to the family in their affliction.
