Keith Abbott Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, Christian Church, Nichols. Visitation: 4-7pm. Wednesday, Dec. 14, Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Lone Tree, CONESVILLE, Iowa - C. Keith Abbot, 82, Conesville, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at Mercy Hospital Iowa City. The Rev. Chris Wilson will officiate. Casket bearers are, Andy Abbott, Kris Abbott, Mitch White, Josh Shriner, James Wilkins, Bill Bright, Bryon Buffington and Jeff Sytsma. Honorary casket bearers are Tom Huston, Mark Huston, Marvin Prior, Kevin Van Heiden and Tom Sands. Burial will be at the Conesville Cemetery A memorial has been established for the Nichols Christian Church. Online condolences may be left for the Abbott family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Mr. Abbott was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Conesville, the son of Harry D. and Mabel J. Rippey Abbott. He married Joyce E. Borgstadt on June 9, 1946, in Nichols. He was a lifelong resident and farmer in the Conesville Area, He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Columbus Junction State Bank and a member of Nichols Christian Church. He enjoyed and loved his family, especially his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Candace D. Dusenberry of Valentine, Neb., and Cindy White of Muscatine; two sons, Dennis Abbott and wife Nita of Conesville and Brian Abbott and wife Linda of Nichols; a brother, Newell Abbott of Liberty, Mo., 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, DeEtta Hankins; and a son-in-law, Keith Dusenberry. Source: Muscatine Journal, Dec. 13, 2005
