He complained of feeling badly that morning, but never-theless went down town, going first to a barber shop, where he admitted that he was suffering severely. From the barber shop he went to the office of the physician, where he was suddenly stricken. The physician ran out of the office to summon assistance, and when he returned a moment later Thompson had succumbed. Thompson would have been 66 years of age, had he lived until next Saturday. He is survived by his wife and one son, Walter, who resides on a farm southwest of Letts. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and of the Methodist Episcopal church.
