Cocklin, an aged resident of Grandview, 88 years old, died last Sunday. Deceased has been a resident of this county for a number of years and he leaves a large family of grown children. He was a soldier of the civil war and was a member of Co. G, 19th Iowa infantry, of which A. M. Taylor was captain. The funeral services were held from the home in Grandview last Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. A number of the members of the local G. A. R. post attended the funeral. Interment was made in the Grandview cemetery.
