Harold Edward Ash, 26, 204 South Madison Street, Grandview, died Wednesday, August 10, 1988. Services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Muscatine. Rev. Walter B. Helms officiated. Organist was Beverly Weber. Casket bearers were Joe Nelson, Steve Posten, Jeff Mullen, Brian Searcy, Bob Beeding, Dennis Cozad, Jody Brossart and Russell Brossart. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine. Riley Funeral Home, Muscatine, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Ash was born September 21, 1961, in Muscatine, a son of Donald W. and Rosemary A. Hoffman Ash. He had never married. He was employed as a truck driver for Garrett Trucking for past 1 1/2 years and was previously employed at ACME Fuel Company. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ash of Muscatine; two brothers, Donald 'Bud' and James Michael, both of Muscatine; five sisters, Mrs. Larry (Cindy) Brossart of Muscatine; Katherine Ash of Pendleton, Oregon; Mrs. Douglas C., (Linda) Barclay, Angela Ash, and Brenda Ash, all of Muscainte; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ash of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
