Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel Cemetery, Wapello, Iowa. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Aspelmeier died Thursday Sept. 20, 2001, at her home. Beatrice Stone was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Sherman and Lilly Mae (Christopher) Stone. Bea Gabel married Walter Aspelmeier on May 27, 1994, in Silvis. She worked as a waitress and hostess for more than 25 years at Villiage Inn in Davenport and Moline. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, and crafts. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Gilda's Club or to Pathway Hospice. Survivors include her husband, Walt; daughters, Mary Gabel, Davenport, and Brenda Foster and Michele Gabel, both of Moline; sons Rusty Gabel and Jason Gabel, both of Davenport; five grandchildren, including one on the way; sisters Charlene Zenor, Earlham, Iowa, and Barbara Anderson, Adrian, Mo., and brothers, Mickey Stone, Des Moines, and Harold Stone, Astorin, Ore.
