He was born in Louisa County, Iowa, on July 12, 1862, to Stephen H and Alice Houghton Plumb and came to Davenport with his parents when a child. He received his education in the Davenport schools. He was married to Miss Mathilda Andrews on Aug. 31, 1889, in Davenport, Iowa. He was a member of the Trinity Lodge and a Thirty-second degree Mason. Surviving are his wife; three children, Leonard of Wapello, Ia., Stephen of Davenport, Mrs. E. A. Wehmeyer (Mathilda Alice (Tillie) of Clinton, Iowa, eight grandchildren and one brother and one sister. The body was taken to the Runge Mortuary, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
