The Rev. Mary N. Pugh will officiate. The service will be followed by military rites by the Wapello VFW Glenn Allen Post No. 5166. Mr. Askren died Aug. 11, 2000, at the age of 83. His body was cremated following a funeral held Sunday, Aug. 13. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is providing the arrangements. Unknown newspaper
