McNeil, at 5 a.m. Thursday, May 16. Last rites will be held at First Prebyterian church at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Bruce Gillis will officiate, and burial will be in the Wapello cemetery. The body is at the Dudgeon funeral home. A resident of Wapello for 34 years, McNeil formerly lived at Mediapolis. He was born June 30, 1871, at Burdett, Mo., and lived at Atlanta, Kan., before moving to Iowa. He was a retired merchant and farmer. His parents were James c. and Jane Wilson McNeil. On Sept. 6, 1893, McNeil was married to Chrisella Burns at Eldorado Springs, Mo. she died Dec. 28, 1945. Besides Wilson P. McNeil, McNeil is survived by two other sons: M. Burns McNeil, Wapello, and Milo S. McNeil, Fredonia, Ariz., and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Alderson, of San Diego, Calif. One daughter died in infancy. Also surviving are a brother, Merritt C. McNeil, Marion, Ohio, and 11 grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters died previously. Unknown newpaper Thursday, May 16, 1957
