Meyers, Florida, died Friday, March 19, 1999, in Ft. Meyers. She was born September 2, 1909, in Morning Sun, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel H. and Hannah Swartz Delzell. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Marshalltown, IA and a member of the Church of Ressurection, Ft. Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband Verle D. Bales, five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by a son, Michael D. Bales of Houston, TX; a daughter, Judie D. Neeley of Arcadia, FL' a sister Arminta B. Delzell of Ft. Myers; and a brother, Max B. Dezaell of Dallas TX; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Memorial contribution may be made to Hope Hospice of Ft. Myers. Wapello Republican, 25 March 1999.
