Adye,m 73, 310 Joliet Road, Marquette Heights, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Manor Care at Riverview, East Peoria, Ill. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Marquette Heights. The Rev. Don E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery, Morton, Ill. Visitation is one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Adye was born May 29, 1929, in Mediapolis, the son of Frank Ross and Cornelia Myrle Sheafor Adye. He married Helen Maxine "Mickey" Stockman June 3, 1951, in Wapello. She preceded him in death May 14, 1998, in Peoria, Ill. He was an U.S. Navy vetreran of the Korean War. He was an insurance claims adjuster and supervisor for many years in the Peoria area. He was a member of the Creve Coeur Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4835 and the Rusty Zipper Club, both of Creve Coeur; the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 916, Pekin, Ill. and the Ultra Light Flight Club, Deer Creek, Ill. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sky diving and going to auctions. Survivors include two daughters, Robin L. Boyles and husband Rick of East Peoria and Rhonda L. Preuitt of Mackinaw, Ill.; a son, Rod L. Adye of Rowlett, Texas; three grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and a sister, Joyce A. Pallischeck and husband Mike of Wapello, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky L. Adye Nov. 4, 2001; and two brothers, Myrle Adye and Gerry Adye.
