Marjorie was born August 27, 1929, in Columbus Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Willie and Bernice (Van Horn) Werner. She married Ray Babbitt February 24, 1954, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marjorie was associated with the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. She had been employed as a grounds keeper at Chautauqua Park, Columbus Junction, for 30 years. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Ray, a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Letitia) Landes, Mt. Union, Iowa; and three grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Raymond Werner, Winfield, Iowa. She was preceeded in death by her parents, and a sister, Evelyn Lukins. Memorial funeral services for Marjorie Babbitt will be held Thursday, February 22, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation.
