Allen, 83, Muscatine, died early Sunday morning, January 18, 1981, at the Morning Sun Manor following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, at the Riley funeral Home. Rev. Clyde Hartman, pastor of the Kilpeck Friends Community Church, officiated with burial in the memorial Park Cemetery. He was born November 28, 1897, in rural Columbus Junction the son of Minton R. and Lois Elizabeth Jarvis Allen. He was a life resident of the surrounding area. He married Alberta Manley on April 8, 1919, in Muscatine. Survivors include one son Milton R. of Wapello; one daughter Margaret L. DeCamp of Muscatine; five grandchildren; three brothers, Harlen of Long Beach, California, Elton of Conesville and Ruben of Columbus City; and two sisters Mina Hafner of Fairfield and Evelyn Foss of Old Town, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother and granddaughter.
