Joshua Bayne Myers, age 32, of Burlington, died Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics at Iowa City. The son of Frank and Gail Bayne Myers, he was born February 26, 1976 at Greenville, Pennsylvania. Josh graduated from Wapello High School in 1994. He worked as a Casino Dealer at the Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington. Josh enjoyed james, music, and movies on his computer, he also enjoyed fishing and science fiction. He is survived by his parents Gail and David Swails of Burlington; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Norma Bayne of Wapello; two sisters, Ashley Humphries of Burlington and Callie Myers of Burlington; two step-brothers, Jeremy Swails of Muscatine and Shane Swails of Pottsville, Pennsylvania; three nieces, Chloe, Ella, and Brooke; two aunts, Julie Rossiter of Winfield and Denise McCulley of Oakville; an uncle, Ned Myers of Mt. Vernon; and several cousins. He will be cremated and the funeral ceremony will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 27, 2008, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello, conducted by his family. Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery. A memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the UIHC Cancer Research.
