Earl Bailey, 75, 2011 West Bay Drive, Muscatine, died September 3, 1990, at Muscatine. Services will be held Thursday, September 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Letts United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Campbell officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Emily Townsley. Honorary casket bearers will be Mark Stout and William Hoben. Casket bearers are Roger Bailey, Stewart Bailey, Kenny Bailey, Philip Bailey, Douglas LaFayette and Randall LaFayette. Burial will be in the Letts Cemetery. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bailey was born October 23, 1914, in Letts, the son of George W. and Mabel Wagner Bailey. He married Z. Lucille Harvey on March 7, 1935, in Muscatine. He was a life resident of Letts until moving to Muscatine in 1980. He had farmed in rual Letts for many years. He was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church; Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge of Muscatine; Letts Triangular #245 A.F. & A.M., Washington Chapter #4; Webb Council; DeMoley Commandry; KAABA Shrine. Surviving are his wife; one brother, Lyman Bailey of Terril, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. John (Elva) LaFayette of Bettendorf.
