Services are at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Brown Garlock will officiate. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral chapel is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday with the family being present from 2 to 4. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Aringdale was born April 4, 1894 at Carrington, N.D., a daughter of Peter and Katherine Pepple Johson. She first married Harry Smith. He died in February 1962. On March 19, 1979 she married Fred Aringdale in Washington, Iowa. She was affiliated with the Methodist church. In her earlier years she was a postal employee at Carrington. Survivors include her husband, Fred; one son Harlan Smith, of Chicago, and one sister, Millicent Johnson, of Omaha. Muscatine Journal 28 Dec 1989
