Skipto DATE: 2/21/2009 at 21:01:03 Surnames: SKIPTON,VANDYKE,CARLISLE Carl Ray Skipton of Fredonia, died at 12:01 a.m. April 12 1976, at Washington County Hospital at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 13 days. He was born November 29, 1894, the son of William and Hannah Adams Skipton. Mr. Skipton was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion. He had worked as an electrician. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nettie VanDyke of Muscatine and Mrs. Mary Carlisle of Columbus Junction and several Nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hasel officiating. Miss Donna Belle Hughes was organist. Casket bearers were Richard Pugh, Everett Henson, Ralph Snyder, Arthur Soloman, Gene Duncan and Randy Griffin. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.
