Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church officiating. Pallbearers were Gayle Williams, Kent Williams, Myron Williams, Dick Lohse, Dell Reighard and Donnie Snavely. Visitation was held Friday evening at Lunning Chapel in Burlington and also at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial followed in Columbus City Cemetery. Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship was held at the Spring Run United Methodist Church, rural Columbus Junction. Memorials may be directed to the Burlington Hospice and sympathy notes may be left to the Aringdale family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Miss Aringdale was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Louisa County, the daughter of Frank Harris and Eunice Dorothy Metzger Aringdale. She was a graduate of Columbus Community High School and a member of Spring Run United Methodist Church. She lived on the family farm until moving to Mount Pleasant in 1968 where she worked as a telephone operator for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed embroidering, gardening and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Survivors include her brother, Robert Aringdale and wife Mary of Burlington;her sister, Evelyn Williams and husband Rex of Birmingham; and many cousins, including Helen Aringdale of Columbus Junction. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Arlene Reighard. Wapello Republican June 1, 2006
