Walter Of Grandview Is Called in Death (handwritten date March 25, 1950) Wapello -- Frederick W. Walter, lifelong resident of Louisa county, died at 1:05 a.m. today at the home of his nephew, Earl Walter, one mile east of Grandview. He was born in the Grandview community on March 20, 1871, the son of George and Anna Blauer Walter. One brother, William, of Letts, and 11 nephews and nieces survive. A sister and three brothers preceded him in death. The body is at the the Dudgeon Funeral home here and a short prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home, followed by services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Grandview Community churck. The Rev. Floyd McCague, pastor, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Grandview cemetery. Source: an old scrapbook
