After graduating from Iowa State Teachers College, the Iowa farm girl moved to the big city of Dallas, TX, to work for Braniff International Airlines. There she met a pilot named George Raymond Asay Jr., who became her husband of 42 years. They raised their 5 children in Dallas and were vey involved at Wilshire Baptist Church. In 1991, they moved to Lanesville, IN, and became involved at First Southern Baptist Church of Floyds Knob, IN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 children: Shawn Baxter and Husband, Steve of Rockwall, TX; Sherrene Hale and husband, David of The Woodlands, TX; Sherilyn Hatch and husband, Greg of Boerne, TX; Steve Asay and wife, Whitney Ramsay Asay of Mt. An incredible prayer warrier, listener, cheerleader, teacher, nurse, carpool, and friend, she was one who savored life in her love for her Lord, and she motivated her husband and children to do the same. Her home was a haven where all who entered left wanting to know God more. A Coronation Service was held on Monday, at Wishire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Road, Dallas, TX. A reception at the church immediately followed. A memorial fund has been made available to Legacy Family Ministries.
