Hi! I have a few comments on my earlier post about the deed index entries. 1)I was very surprised to find the first entry for Louis Schneider to have been a sale of land. Is this an unusual situation, viz., to find land being sold without a prior entry for purchase? Louis Schneider recounts in a Louisa County history that he entered the county in 1855. 2)Is anybody out there researching the Snider/Snyder name? I am wondering now if I might be related to these Sniders. Louis Schneider's name was routinely spelled 'Snider' various documents. 3)Is anyone researching the Kallenbergers? It is not a common name. I have some documentation on Christopher Kallenberger's family being in Hamilton County, OH until after the mid 1860s. I was very surprised to the name Jacob Kallenberger hitting the index in 1852. Also, I was surprised to find the names Daniel and Barbara hitting the index in 1865 and 1867 respectively. I have a Barbara Wick Kallenberger in my files as the wife of Christopher. Daniel Kallenberger is a name that is a surprise to me, just as Jacob is a surprise. 4)As a last question, is anybody else out there researching the Louis Schneider line? Over the years, I've bumped into one Schneider cousin on this list which was a great surprise. Just wondering if there are others out there. Robert Schneider
