Mrs. Harriet Armentrout, 62, of Buffalo, Iowa, died at 3:30 a.m. October 18, 1967 at St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport after an extended illness. Mrs. Armentrout was superintendent of schools at Buffalo from 1843 to 1966 and joined the Davenport school system in 1967. She received her B.A. from Marycrest College at Davenport and an M.A. in Education from the State University of Iowa. She was a life long member of the National Education Association, Iowa State Education Assn., Iowa School Administrators Association, Association of America University Women, Delta Gamma national teachers sorority and was active in the Mosonic organization. She was born December 4, 1904 at Letts, the Daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth McCormick. She married Norman Armentrout on February 22, 1930 at Waterloo. Surviving is her husband, Norman. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo.
