Raymond Armentrout, 89, of Meth Wick Manor, Cedar Rapids, died there Tuesday, August 13, 1991, after a short illness. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Burial was at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Armentrout was born December 27, 1901, in Letts. He married Lois I. Turkington on June 3, 1924, in Letts. He was company secretary for Iowa National Insurance Company for 45 years. He retired in 1966 to enjoy traveling, golf, fishing and his oil painting. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Mezpah Lodge No. 639, High Twelve, The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Elmcrest Country Club, and the Senior Bureau of the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his wife Lois of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Olive Van Delinder of Letts; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Meth Wick Manor, or the American Heart Association.
