She was born Nov. 19, 1893, in Muscatine, a daughter of Michael Pfeiffer and June E. Carey Preiffer. She was married to Roy L. McGill on Aug. 23, 1939, at Iowa City. She had been a resident of Grandview for about 11 years and previous to that had lived at Riverside, Ia. Mrs. McGill was a member of the Grandview Community church and the Royal Neighbors lodge. She was president of the Carey reunion organization. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Garna E. Mapel, Ainsworth; three step-sons, Lawrence McGill, Biloxi, Miss., Darryl McGill, Letts, and Russell McGill, Burlington; three stepdaughters, Twyla Miller, Coshockton, Ohio, Cleda Blake, Grandview, and Mrs. Frances Fry, Letts; two half-brothers, Marion Pfeiffer, Chicago, and Carl Pfeiffer, Durant, and three grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother. The body will be taken to the McGill home at Grandview late this afternoon from the Fairbanks Home for Funerals in Muscatine.
