Wapello - Funeral services for Joe Brown, 75, of Toolesboro, who died Saturday at St. Francis hospital, Burlington, were conducted at the Dudgeon Funeral Home here Monday afternoon. The Rev. E.R. Barnardt, pastor of the Oak Street Baptist Church of Burlington conducted the service. Burial was at the Wapello Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smith sang at the service. Pallbearers were Walter W. James, William Smith, Walter James, Earl Smith, Chester James and Sam Crow. Joseph S. Brown was born November 1874 in Ohio, the son of Joseph and Nancy Brown. His wife Sara Wheeler died in 1941.
