Aringdale, Mt. Pleasant, were held Wednesday, December 28, at 2 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa. Rev. Anne Lippincott officiated. Organist was Mrs. Gladys Davis. Casket bearers were Richard Lohse, Tony Lohse, Dell Reighard, Kent Williams, Myon Williams, and Donnie Snavely. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery. Eunice died on Sunday, December 25, 1994, at the Maple Leaf Care Center, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. A memorial has been established. Eunice Dorothy Metzger was born June 24, 1907, near Winfield, Iowa, to David and Bertha I. Hough Metzger. She married Frank H. Aringdale February 10, 1926, near Winfield. Eunice was a homemaker all her life. They lived in the Columbus Junction area until June 1968, when they moved to Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Spring Run United Methodist church and AARP, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Arlene Reighard of Cedar Rapids, Miss Doris Aringdale of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Rex (Evelyn) Williams of Birmingham, Iowa; a son Robert Arlingdale of Burlington; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Frances Ulmer of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on September 7, 1993; and a brother, Hollis. Columbus Gazette 29 December 1994
