Spent 20 years in Wapello area, then to Adair county 20 years, then in Letts until about 1918. Their children: Addie Mae Lindley, b. 4 Aug 1882 married 3 April 1909, Lindley Farm near Letts (United Brethren ceremony) to Earl DeCAMP Clarence Lindley, b. 11 April 1887, m. Mary M. (Dollie) HOFFMEYER Frankie Lindley, b. 29 Nov. 1895, d. 05 Jan. 1911 Henry Clay Lindley, b. 10 Sept. 1880, d. 1955. Married March 1918 Vina WILSON, who died Aug. 1942. . (Their daughter Lois buried in Letts, Iowa, too.) Minnie Lindley, b. 24 July 1892, m. about 1917 to Clement Joseph BORGHORST. William Lindley, b. 11 April 1885. MEYERHOLZ Henry - In Wapello working for a "Mr. Ellis" before 1853. Returned to Louisa County 1855 and farmed there until 1863 and then purchased land in Jefferson Township. Married Elizabeth Burchold 1855. Their children were: William, 1 Aug 1855-22 May 1927, m. Lena Deppe in 1892. (Jefferson Twnshp homestead abt 1871) Emma, 24 Oct 1858-7 Nov 1927 (married J. W. Lindley) Mary born March 1862 (never married) Lizzie born Feb. 1864 (teacher - never married) Fred. b 11 Oct 1867 (never married) Mary, Lizzie and Fred remained on the family farm. Franklin or Frank, 22 Mar 1865-1943. Married 23 Sept 1893 to Lenora SMALL, dau. of Safford and Eliza UMPHRIES Small. Farmed near Wapello, both buried in Wapello. Attended Methodist Episcopal church. Children were: Minnie Mae TILLMAN, May 1895-Dec 1967; Harry Amos, March 1897- Nov 1969; Henry Safford, May 1899-March 1977; Earl Raymond, Feb 1901-Dec 1978; Theodore Roosevelt, Dec. 1903-?; Albert, 1904-1904; John Chester, Jul 1907-?; Frank Paul, Dec. 1911-?; Nellie Aliene LESSENGER, 8 Aug 1917-?; Myrtle Ruth, 8 Aug 1917-8 Aug 1917. Pearl, b and d 21 May 1871 (buried at Mallory Cemetery, Wapello) Minnie SHIPMAN, 21 May 1871-8 Feb. 1931 (husb. Charles shot, killed her and then himself, Chicago, 1932) Charles 26 Aug 1875-13 Sep 1936 (professor at Iowa State; wrote "History and Government of Iowa"). Buried in Mallory Cemetery.
