    3. I did go to a Carey reunion in Columbus Junction a couple years ago that had been advertized on the internet. I have most of their information which was submitted by Katherine Carey and published in a blue bound book that the Wapello library has called "The Thomas Carey family" plus a couple others. Katherine's husband Keith and I are descended from Thomas Carey and his second wife Elizabeth Clevenger. I don't know where Mary Beth fits in. I have submitted an application to DAR based on Elizabeth Clevenger's father Eben/Eden/Aden Clevenger. If it is accepted all the people from the Aden Clevenger Carey (1829-1906) and the Nancy Jane Carey Kemp ((1831-1915) lines would be eligible also. I have been to Wapello a couple times to use the library and the courthouse. I live in Illinois 30 miles east of the Quad Cities. My Aunt Mabel Kemp lived in Wapello when she died. My Aunt Ethel Kemp Buster is in the nursing home in Wapello. Another aunt, Zella Kemp Peck will be 98 and until several months ago lived in her own home in Mediapolis. She is now in the nursing home there.
