Jct. Mayor. (It also mentions his father--who was NOT a surgeon--amputating his leg after he fell out of a wagon and had it crushed as a youth.) It's at: http://home1.gte.net/gentzler/Buffington_David_Sleeth_(obit).htm [Notice the underlines between his first, middle, and last name] Feel free to link to it from the Louisa Co website. Also, several of you very kind folks have offered to look up various obituaries for me, but Keith Street has beaten you to it. If anyone is still willing to put in some research time, an obituary for the following pioneer should yield lots of useful data if you can locate it in one of the local papers. Phillip Jefferson Buffington 1802 - 1882 b: August 04, 1802 in VA d: November 24, 1882 in Louisa Co., IA (bur. in Buffington Cem.) Many thanks!
