RAWHOUSER family I present limited RAWHOUSER information that was researched while answering a query from Joan Lurvey, 2020 E Sunset, Springfield, MO 65804. David Rawhouser was born 30 January 1832 in York, Pennsylvania; died 30 August 1908 in Columbus City; was married (1) on 9 October 1851 to Anna M. T. Blosser. She died 23 February 1877 in Columbus City. David and Anna had 8 children. David married (2) 24 December 1878/9 to Sarah L. Shrader (1847 - 1930), of Washington County. David and Sarah had one child. Children of the first marriage of David and Anna are: 1. Jennie (Rawhouser) Baker, was married in Louisa County on 26 March 1871 to T. A. Baker, and later lived at Watonga, Oklahoma. 2. Wm. B. Rawhouser, was married 4 July 1877 to Elzella Morgan, in Louisa County.Carroll, Iowa. 3. Dr. J. L. Rawhouser, Central Point, Oregon. 4. Clara (Rawhouser ) Griffith, born circa 1865, was married on 31 December 1884 in Louisa County to D. L. Griffith. They lived in Winfield. 5. No information. 6. No information. 7. No information. 8. No information Children of the second marriage, for David and Sarah. 1. Dr. C. D. Rawhouser, of Salem, Iowa. I have not been able to help Joan Lurvey. Joan wishes information on Caroline (Calla) Rawhouser, presumed daughter (but not listed above) of David Rawhouser. Caroline married (1) Arthur J. Glidden, had four children, and left him. She had at least two other marriages. A family with the surname of LONG is connected. Any member of the list who can help Joan? Information on this family has been sketchy. The Louisa County Genealogical Society has had no inqueries on the RAWHOUSER name until this one of Joan's. There are 2 probates that were not consulted, for Martha W. Rawhouser and for Joel Rawhouser. I believe Joel to be a son of David, but I have not found documentation to prove that. That could be easily proven by looking up census information. Presumably there is more information on the collaterals available in Louisa County records and elsewhere, but I do not have time at present to search them. Hope this helps someone.
