    3. Dear Rick I don't find much on your McSweeney family. There were no McSweeney marriages in Louisa County prior to 1900. There was a Lillian Sweeny marriage and ones for J. D. Sweeny, John L.Sweeny, Samuel W. Sweeny and David M. Sweeney. The only McSweeney burials in the county are in Columbus City Cemetery. They are for Edward W. and his wife Ella. Edward's dates are 1844 to 1888; Ella's are 1853 to 1939. Ella and Edward are listed as parents of Helen and Florence Orcutt. There is an Elmer and Eleanor Sweany buried in Columbus City Cemetery. The only McSweeney listing in either the Springer History or the Portrait and Biographical Album of Louisa County is a Catherine McSweeney who married a James Colton. There are some Sweeney and Sweney entries that I did not look up. I didn't check any land records in the courthouse.
