    3. For those of you who are descended from the Henthorn/Jennings/Buffington/Watson/Jackson Families I think you will find this website well worth checking out. Dick Henthorn has been doing extensive research for a number of years on the Henthorn Family and has combined the research of many on his genealogical website. Dick is a former employee in the National Archives in Washington, D.C. so knows how to search out all the references to our family lines. The Henthorn line goes back to John and James Henthorn who migrated to America around 1730. Mary Henthorn married David Jennings and descendants married into several family lines familiar to those doing Louisa County, Iowa research. A word of caution I did find a few errors in the works but they are rather noticeable so I don't think you will have any trouble picking them out. Dates that don't jibe, like one marriage that occurred after the wife's death. Another when he was only six years old. Apparently someone typed 1766 instead of 1786 in that instance. The volume of information makes it inevitable that an occasional typo will occur. Even if you aren't a direct descendant, it makes good reading entertainment. http://members.aol.com/Rhenthorn1/index.html#top Enjoy! Norma
