Hi Tom, I've been researching in Louisa Co. for about 3 months now trying to link my McNamar line to the McNamars in Louisa. Josephus and Mary Clark's daughter Mary was married to Philip McNamar and I have accumulated a lot of information on all of the families that married into the McNamars. I checked the Ancestral File today to see if anyone had submitted anything on John Clark and sure enough someone had. His information was that John Clark was born in Maryland, same date as is on his tombstone, and gave his children's names, who they married and in some cases, their children. This includes Dora Shoop marrying Harry Getts. Did you also want information on Josephus and Mary and their family? Maybe it would be best if you could let me know just what you have and then I won't be repeating things that you already know. As for John, a couple more things I found were the service of a John Clark from Ross Co. in the War of 1812 and a marriage record from Washington Co. MD for a John Clark and Sarah Norris in July of 1812. It would seem like this had to have been two different John Clarks, but at least it gives you a couple of leads.
