    3. Carol, Union township, Louisa county, Iowa is in the NW corner along Washington county (Union & Oakland sort of look like half townships split diagonally). It looks to me like Union township wasn't formed until 1854 and the only town ever platted in Union twp. was Gladwin in 1903.
