Lately, I have received a large number of e-mail messages directed to me rather than the mailing list. While I have tried to do the courteous thing and answer each one in the past to the best of my ability, the sheer volume of my mail is such that I cannot continue to do so. I would like to ask all of you to please post your queries either on the mailing list or on the automated query pages that are maintained indefinitely on the website, rather than directing queries to me personally. I cannot remember who contacted me about what and send them information privately that I may run across in the future on their families. I am going to post a few that I have received and perhaps some of you may have information to help. Do any of our subscribers have any information on the following: > I'm searching for my great-grandma named Catherine Pontzious or Pontzius (married name McKay). She was buried in a " little grave " along side of her father John Pontzious or Pontzius in Cairo, Iowa. She was born in 1853 to John & Rachel Pontzious of Wapello and Cairo, Iowa. She married George Washington McKay of Burlington, Iowa ( my great grandpa ). She has 2 daughters. She died in 1878 at age 25. I looked for Fulton, Long Creek, and other cemeteries, but am unable to find them. Any help in finding the burial site of my great-grandma would be greatly appriciated. Thank You, Nancy Barz. bnbarz@juno.com
